Delete your BearRoam account

Browsing BearRoam — weather, events, trails, dining and listings — does not require an account, and favorites are stored only on your own device. Only business owners and managers who signed up to claim or manage a listing have a BearRoam account.

If you never created a business account, there is no account to delete. You can clear your favorites and stored destination at any time by clearing your browser or app storage.

BearRoam does not currently offer a self-serve delete button in the app. To delete your account, send an email from the address registered to your account to:

Include the subject line "Account deletion" and the email address you signed up with. We will confirm the request and delete your account. Alternatively, you can use the report form and include your account email address.

Upon a valid deletion request we delete the account and its associated records, including:

• Your sign-in account (email address and credentials) held by our authentication provider.
• Business claims you submitted, including your name, role, contact email, phone and verification notes.
• Listing detail submissions you made as an owner (hours, links, descriptions and similar fields).

After deletion you will no longer be able to sign in or access the owner dashboard, claim history or listing metrics for your account.

Business details already published on a public listing (for example a business name, phone number, hours or description) are public directory information. They may remain on the public guide after your account is deleted, but they will no longer be attributed to your account and you will no longer be able to edit them. If you want published business details changed or removed as well, say so in your deletion request and we will review it.

Anonymous usage analytics are not linked to your account and are not affected by account deletion. Technical logs held by our hosting and backend providers are retained only as needed to operate and secure the service.
